Program Description

Are you fascinated by the products, media and target groups of the premium market segment? Strong brands stand for quality and are a decisive factor when it comes to purchasing decisions and customer loyalty. On this luxury and fashion management programme, you will learn strategic skills and experience how a brand can be successfully showcased at fashion shows and congresses, as well as with sponsoring, product placement and digital media.


Contents of the Luxury and Fashion Management (M.A.) programme

In this Master's programme, you will develop a deeper understanding of the characteristics and laws that distinguish the fashion, jewellery, cosmetics and high-end automotive industries from other sectors and how to lead such companies to success.

On the basis of sound knowledge of the market economy and corporate management, you will acquire specialist knowledge on the global consumer behaviour of customers in various luxury goods and fashion markets, on production and location policy and on the successful communication of offers. Course modules include:

  • Brands and Branding
  • Focus Project
  • Luxury and Fashion Business

Degree awarded

Students on this M.A. programme are awarded the following master's degree:

  • Master of Arts in Business with specialisation in Luxury and Fashion Management

After completing the M.A. specialisation in Luxury and Fashion Management, you will be well equipped for a management position at a fashion or premium brand. You will have mastered the intricacies of corporate management, corporate communications and marketing that will help you become an expert for luxury and fashion brands. Admission requirements

Admission requirements are as follows:

  • Recognised Bachelor's degree
  • English language proficiency certificate
    - TOEFL (at least 72 out of 120)
    - IELTS (at least 6 out of 9)
  • CV (curriculum vitae)
  • Motivation statement
  • Letter of recommendation (by your lecturer or employer)
  • Personal interview (optional)

Applicants with a bachelor's degree of 180 ECTS study a four-semester programme, while applicants with 210 ECTS may join the three-semester programme.
