Joint International Master in Smart Systems Integration
This master degree is a joint master between Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, UK), University College of Southeast-Norway (Norway) and Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary).
USN together with Heriot-Watt University and Budapest University of Technology and Economics offers a joint master`s degree in microsystems and microelectronics.
Smart Systems Integration (SSI) has been developed to meet the present and future needs in manpower from the increasingly industry relevant area of MicroSystems Technology (MST). These systems, such as airbag crash sensors, inkjet printer heads, lab-on-a-chip systems and smartphones function through the integration of electronic processing with biological, mechanical or optical functions.
You will study one semester at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, one semester at USN, Campus Vestfold, and one semester at Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Hungary. The fourth semester the students will be split into the different schools to finish their Master Thesis.
International non-EU students will be eligible for full funding (tuition fees wherever relevant and living expenses, a sum of 47.500 €) and European Union students will be eligible for partial funding (tuition fees wherever relevant and living expenses, a sum of 20.000 €) for this two-year Masters Programme.
