This course is targeted to junior profiles and offers a balanced program of professional training at postgraduate level integrating the most recent approaches in Project Management with a cross-sectoral and intercultural perspective that focus on managerial, behavioural and technical competencies shared over a 12-month full-time study period and a final project.

Students that fulfil the graduation requirements and satisfy the regulations at each Party will be awarded the following degrees:

  • University certificate: MSc Project Management (International) delivered by Strathclyde (240 credits).
  • Specializing Master (1st level University Master): “International Master in Project Management” delivered by Politecnico di Milano (96 ECTS).


The course is entirely taught in English and has a duration of 10 months plus internship/research project starting in September.

First semester at MIP Politecnico di Milano:

  • Strategy and Organization Management
  • Project Management Fundamentals
  • Innovation Management
  • Project Accounting
  • Project Finance
  • Project Risk Management

Second semester at University of Strathclyde Business School:

  • Project Portfolio Management
  • Leadership for Change and Innovation
  • Issues and Trends in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology
  • Commercial Management
  • Strategic Procurement Management
  • Consulting in Practice

Additionally, students are required to take 20 additional elective credits from either the PGT Spring School or the MBA Summer School.

During the semester at Strathclyde, students have also the possibility to attend one elective (non-mandatory) offered on campus or in one of the school's International centres in:

  • Abu Dhabi and Dubai
  • Bahrain
  • Greece
  • Malaysia
  • Oman
  • Singapore
  • Switzerland

The final internship or research project running from June to Feb can be completed in Italy, Scotland or internationally.

  • English certificate for non-native speakers
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Motivation letter
  • A copy of a valid ID document e.g. Passport.
  • The final step of the selection process is the motivational interview.

Students holding a Bachelor Degree of 180 ECTS credits or equivalent, issued by a recognized University in any discipline, followed by max. three years of working experience. Candidates should have a minimum Second Class Honours degree or equivalent.

Furthermore, candidates need to present an IELTS score of minimum 6.5 with at least 5.5 in each subtest. A CAE Certificate (Level C1) is also acceptable.
