Mission and goals
Electrical Engineering is the area of engineering that is concerned with the study and applications of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism.
The Master of Science course in Electrical Engineering provides the student with an advanced level of preparation for carrying out highly-qualified activity in the scientific and technical area of Electrical Engineering.
The programme provides specific skills in the areas of electrical energy and renewable sources, electric transportation systems, construction and design of electrical machines, power electronics and electrical drives, engineering electromagnetics, electromagnetic compatibility, digital signal processing applied to measurements and diagnosis techniques, electric power systems and smart grids.
The programme foresees two tracks taught in English, a first track devoted to the areas of competence Energy and Renewable Sources, Transport, Design and Automation, and a second track specifically devoted to the area of competence Smart Grids, in collaboration with Enel Distribuzione S.p.A.
The professional opportunities for graduates are in design activities in the areas of production, transmission and distribution of electricity, in industries producing electrical machinery and electronic power systems, industrial automation and robotics industries, companies that design, produce and run electrical transport systems, companies and consortiums that purchase electricity on the electricity stock exchange.
In addition, there are opportunities in the self-employment, especially in the fields of safety and certification.

Cost & Fees
For EU students fees are based on students’ family income and the study plan presented, and range from about €800 to €3,300 per year.
