Introduction
The Bachelor of Music (BM) program is a 12 quarter full-time program. Three majors are available for the BM degree, Music Performance, Music Production, and Composition. The Music Performance major offers emphases in Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Vocal. The Music Production major offers an emphasis in Music Producing & Recording, and the Composition Major offers an emphasis in Songwriting.
The Vocal Performance major focuses on giving vocalists the tools to ‘get to the music’ as full partners with great instrumentalists and producers. The program is form-fitted to the passions of each student and presents them with opportunities to gain feedback from professionals in A&R, recording, film & television and live touring. Courses are specially sequenced to maximize learning potential throughout the program.
Each course meets for the number of credits specified each quarter. Please note that Ensemble Workshop (EW) credits may vary based on enrollment per class. Each program encompasses a different amount of intensive study: Bachelor Program (12 quarters), A.A. Program (6 quarters), and Diploma Program (4 quarters).
