Applied Master (MSc) in Psychology
Emirates Aviation University and Coventry University UK are offering you the chance to study towards a part-time blended learning MSc Psychology. The classroom-based element of the programme is taught by Coventry University staff at EAU Dubai campus, and this will be combined with elements of online learning.
Why enrol in this programme?
The course is a conversion path intended for graduate students whose first degree was in a (relevant) subject other than Psychology. The course provides knowledge and understanding of the core areas in psychology and confers eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS – providing students obtain an overall mark of 50% or above).
The educational experience enables the student to improve their knowledge of Psychology; the course is academically challenging and provides a comprehensive foundation of psychological theory and research, offering insights into behaviour from a variety of perspectives. There are many opportunities for students to practice and apply these skills with an emphasis on increasing confidence and competence.
The Applied Master (MSc) in Psychology is a dual award programme conferred by Emirates Aviation University and Coventry University, UK. The EAU award has been submitted for recognition by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) in the UAE. The programme is also accredited by the highly recognised professional British Psychological Society (BPS).
The course is aimed at students seeking to enter employment as professional psychologists. The programme is the first step towards chartered status as a professional psychologist (GBC). Successful graduates with GBC will have appropriate academic evidence for further study on BPS accredited Masters’ degree programmes in Forensic Psychology, Forensic Psychology, and Crime, Occupational Psychology or Health Psychology, each of which is important stages in career development within these fields.
The MSc award will enable learners to progress within the field of Psychology and it will open new horizons of opportunities for your future career.

Mode of delivery
There will be five and a half days of classroom-based teaching contact in three blocks as follows:
