Introduction
The Master in Leadership and Congregational Development is a disciplinary study program within the subject area of practical theology. Practical theology is a broad field of study, in this master's degree program, leadership and church development will be focus areas.
Within these main areas, Ansgar høyskole together with two partners, wants to offer an education that equips, develops and rehabilitates parish leaders for our time. The education must be relevant and address the challenges church leaders and pastors face in meeting people and cultures. The education emphasizes the central place of the biblical texts and will develop the students 'knowledge and skills both as interpreters and communicators of the texts' message. The master's degree in practical theology shall focus on organizational and structural aspects of church development, on the importance of the church community for inner and outer growth, as well as on being a leader in a church, including the leader's integrity and spirituality.
