While corporations of all sorts faced increased regulatory burdens following the Enron scandal and the enactment of Sarbanes-Oxley, in the post Lehman Brothers world financial institutions of all sizes face a new regulatory reality. The Dodd-Frank Act, and related developments like Basel III and a flood of pronouncements from the Financial Stability Board, the Bank for International Settlements, and International Organization of Securities Commissions, have resulted in a massive increase in the need for compliance professionals that are attuned to the specific needs of the financial industry. Seton Hall Law School has paired its compliance knowledge with its internationally known corporate law faculty to meet the needs of the financial services industry. The online master's degree in Financial Services Compliance will teach you about the relevant law surrounding your industry, and how to apply that knowledge to real-life situations. You will graduate from this Master's program with enhanced personal marketability and be able to effectively analyze and respond to myriad compliance issues you encounter on a daily basis. The MSJ in Financial Services Compliance can be completed entirely online, taking only one class at a time. There is no residency requirement. All classes follow an 8-week format that offers optimum flexibility for individuals who have work and family commitments. Financial aid is available for eligible students. MS in Jurisprudence with a concentration in Health & Hospital Law Division of Online Learning Seton Hall Law's Master of Science in Jurisprudence (MSJ or MS) program is designed for non-lawyers eager to advance their careers and enhance their marketability in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, information technology, telecommunications, finance, insurance, banking and biotechnology fields. As an MS student, you can concentrate in Health and Hospital Law, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law & Compliance, Financial Services Compliance or Intellectual Property Law. Joint concentrations are also available. You will have the option of completing our 30-credit-hour Master of Jurisprudence online, or as a hybrid online/traditional (in-person) degree program. MSJ applicants do not have to take the GRE or LSAT. Students enrolled in the MSJ degree online program do not have a residency requirement.
