Introduction

NC State University College of Management. Located in Nelson Hall on NC State's main campus in Raleigh, NC, the college offers graduate and undergraduate degrees in accounting, business management and economics. Our faculty is organized in four academic departments: Accounting, Business Management, Economics, and Management, Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The Master of Accounting program prepares students to meet the challenges and expectations of professional accounting and business careers in today's marketplace.

Overview

Students typically complete the program within one calendar year and are encouraged to enroll in graduate level courses at NC State in the summer preceding and following the academic year for which they were admitted. No evening courses are offered. The MAC program is designed to meet the provisions of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' policy statement on a common body of knowledge for Certified Public Accountants. In response to this policy statement, North Carolina has joined 47 other states and Puerto Rico in enacting legislation requiring 150 semester hours of education for obtaining the CPA certification.... Applied Economics and Policy Analysis Track

 

Students choosing the Applied Economics and Policy Analysis Track will complete a quantitatively rigorous core sequence that includes two semesters of econometric analysis. In their last semester, these students will also complete Economic Writing, a course designed to give students hands-on experience combining analytical techniques and theory in a research setting.
