The Master of Education degree in gifted education is designed to provide the specialized knowledge needed by teachers and other educational personnel who work with gifted and able students (K-12). The curriculum is appropriate for teachers whether they provide instruction in special programs for the gifted or teach in inclusive settings. The M. Ed. Degree in gifted education does not confer teacher certification. The Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education is responsible for the gifted education program although the program itself is multi-disciplinary.

Their clients are not usually mentally or emotionally ill, but they are often upset, anxious, or struggling with some conflict that may be within them or in their environment. They are one-hour essays on the core courses, graded pass/fail. If any CCE section is failed, it MUST be retaken the next semester. Millersville University is accepting applications for this applied, interdisciplinary degree program. The MSISA is intended as a more efficient and effective alternative to traditional master's programs in science. The program will produce intermediate-level professionals who are prepared to enter the workforce with cross-disciplinary scientific and business expertise to manage complex projects.

 

The MSISA will include specializations in a number of areas, including Environmental Systems Management (ESM), GeoInformatics (GI), Weather Intelligence and Risk Management (WIRM), Climate Science Applications (CSA), and others based on the evolving workforce needs. These initial specializations were chosen because they each represent areas of current or emerging workforce demand. The WIRM and CSA specializations will be offered in 2012, and the GI specialization is planned to begin in 2013.  These integrative disciplines should remain relevant throughout the student's career and will build knowledge that can transfer to other practical science applications. Master of Science in School Psychology

 

The Program has received Full Approval status by the National Association of School Psychologists. The Program is a 64-semester hour, post baccalaureate course of study leading to Certification in School Psychology in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Students are provided with a competency-based program which moves sequentially from a strong knowledge base to acquisition of applied skills, and then, to the supervised practicum and internship experiences. Upon successful completion of a specified 43 semester hours of coursework a Master of Science in Psychology is awarded. Following successful completion of the remaining 21 semester hours that includes a practicum and 1200, full year internship, the student is recommended for certification as a school psychologist to the Pennsylvania Department of Education.  Students may transfer into the program after earning a master’s degree in Psychology or a related field elsewhere. The Commonwealth requires students to pass various Praxis examinations before they can be certified as a School Psychologist. The program attempts to accommodate students who desire to complete the bulk of their program on a part-time, evening basis (with the exception of several summer courses and the practicum and internship experiences).... Millersville University Department of English educates graduate students whose refined research, analytical, and writing skills enable them to advance into doctoral programs or other professional endeavors. The Millersville English Department offers two graduate degrees, the Master of Arts and the Masters of Education. In addition, the department provides curriculum that leads to Certification for students who wish to become teachers, but who do not have a degree in education or in English.

 

The English M.A. program features courses that emphasize the history of literature and language. The English M.Ed. combines courses in language and literature with educational psychology and pedagogy.
