Established in 2002, our program has already graduated over 100 individuals who are holding leadership roles in health care, business, criminal justice and many other professions. Designed for current and prospective leaders at all levels within any organization, graduates can update their organizational leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities thus enabling them to enhance the performance and culture of their respective organizations and make a positive difference in both their organizations and communities! The MOL program seeks to enhance in its students critical thinking, higher-order reasoning, and ethical virtue as leaders. Master of Arts in Theology Currently accepting applications for Fall 2016 cohort The Master of Arts in Theology (MA) program is rooted in Catholic and Franciscan tradition while providing a solid theological grounding for individuals coming from a variety of Christian traditions. The degree meets the demand for theological preparation especially for those individuals active in religious education, lay ministry and youth ministry. The MA in Theology is a thirty-six credit hour program consisting of eleven courses and a capstone seminar focusing on the study of biblical, historical, moral, and systematic theology. Students are encouraged to develop strong research and critical thinking skills as well as an integrated theological vision. The degree provides the foundation necessary for continued study toward a doctoral degree and to be a theological resource for others. THE ROBIN C. FRENCH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FOR MASTER OF ARTS IN THEOLOGY STUDENTS The Robin C. French Endowed Scholarship is designed to provide financial support for Master of Arts in Theology Program students who demonstrate academic merit and financial need. Awards will be granted annually to one first‐year student. The recipient will be selected on the basis of cumulative GPA, financial need and a written essay. Eligibility and Application To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be actively enrolled in the Master of Arts in Theology program at Lourdes University and in good academic standing. Eligible students should complete the Robin C. French Endowed Scholarship application and submit it to the Theology Program Director by October 1. Applications received after October 1 will not be considered. Applicants and Recipients Complete applications must be submitted by midnight, October 1. Scholarship recipients are responsible for thanking Robin C. French. Scholarship recipients may also be contacted by the Lourdes University Relations Department and Graduate School for press release information. Graduate School The Graduate Scholarship Selection Committee will choose recipients based on GPA, financial need, and the score on a written essay. All applicants will be notified of the chosen recipient by November 1. Funds will be disbursed by the Financial Aid office and applied toward spring semester tuition. The Robin C. French Endowed Scholarship was established for the perpetual research, education, and study of Theology. Robin C. French’s donation to Lourdes University will in part be utilized for student scholarships. To apply and be eligible to receive scholarship funds, students must write an essay in the box below, describing how the scholarship funds will support their academic goals as they pertain to research, education, and the study of Theology.
