Introduction

LAWRENCE TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY was born 80 years ago in the middle of an innovation explosion that would change the world. None other than Henry and Edsel Ford helped launch the revolutionary experiment that would become LTU, providing guidance and space in their sprawling former Model T assembly plant for the fledgling school.

Today, we’re still changing the world. Since those early beginnings students and alumni have gone on to design and engineer the tools, buildings, and products that helped define their generations. And tomorrow’s LTU students will do the same.

The Master of Architecture program offers you the academic credentials for professional licensing and admission to the field of architecture. It prepares students for lifelong learning through critical practice and aims to develop architects who are committed to creative inquiry, critical thinking, innovative design, evocative communication, and professional leadership. Program Overview The Master of Architecture is a four-semester degree program that combines a core of professional studies with interdisciplinary electives in a practice profile you select. Program course work encompasses advanced design studios taught by a vibrant faculty and a Critical Practice studio, led by a nationally recognized practitioner. Core and elective courses cover theory, research, practice, and management, led by faculty experienced in each area. Practice Profiles Students elect to focus on one or more of the following subject areas in studio and elective courses as they construct their own personal practice profile. Industrial engineers are charged with developing more efficient processes, reducing costs, and increasing productivity within the manufacturing industry – essential functions that employers depend on to remain successful.
