Redcliffe College

Introduction

Redcliffe College

Redcliffe College is a vibrant cross-cultural community representing all ages and many nationalities. Founded in 1892, we are also one of the longest-standing interdenominational and evangelical colleges in the UK.

The Redcliffe community is alive with singles, married couples and families all living, learning and worshipping God together. As a body of Christians we are simply passionate about mission and have seen literally thousands of students move on to serve God worldwide.

We are building partnerships with colleges, mission agencies and other Christian organisations in order to resource mission around the world. We are also a member of the Evangelical Alliance, Global Connections, European Evangelical Accrediting Association and Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges.

Postgraduate Courses

Redcliffe's innovative postgraduate MAs allow in-depth study and reflection on current issues in mission. The MA programmes focus on contemporary issues in global mission, global leadership, the Bible and mission, Asian Studies, European Mission, and Sport and Christian Outreach.

Each MA has several core or compulsory modules, and a choice of optional modules, allowing you to tailor your study. Your dissertation also allows you to research a mission issue relating to your current or future ministry, supervised by lecturers with first-hand experience in cross-cultural mission.

Our MA programmes can be studied full-time over one year, part-time, over two years or in flexible learning mode, taking three to four years. The full-time and part-time programmes run from the beginning of semester one (mid to late September) until the following August. The flexible learning mode combines residential intensive study with distance learning. The residential study is either a three week summer school ath the beginning of the first two years of the MA, our four long weekends during each of the first two years.

Member Care is a relatively new discipline which trains and equips workers to prepare better for cross-cultural life and ministry and to cope with adjustment pre-, during and post- assignment.
