Established in 1919, the College of Estate Management remains the leading provider of vocational education for the real estate and construction sectors. Our bachelor’s and master’s degrees are all accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and or The Chartered Institute of Builders.

This course covers the core technical disciplines of the Building Surveying specialism and their role within the wider context of Built Environment professional disciplines. The course benefits from a range of contemporary, well-supported teaching and learning techniques, including practical project work to improve your career prospects in the public and commercial sectors throughout the UK and overseas. This is one of a suite of MSc conversion programmes designed to enable graduates from disciplines unrelated to Construction and Real Estate to obtain an RICS/CIOB accredited degree, giving access to professional membership. MSc Real Estate This is a postgraduate conversion programme during which you'll develop the knowledge, understanding and critical thinking required to practice as a valuer or commercial property surveyor. It offers a range of modules which address the competencies required for these disciplines, and it is recognised as meeting the RICS educational requirements for membership (Graduate Route 1). Next intake: Apply by 02 Feb 2015 to start 02 March 2015 Why study this course? The course is ideal for anyone who already has a first degree and wants to start a career in Real Estate. Recent graduates who are interested in property valuation, property development and investment should study this course, as it gives a route to Chartered status. Employment opportunities include working in private practice, commercial firms, companies with large property portfolios and government departments. Age is no obstacle, and we have students from their early 20s to late 50s.
