Introduction

Our courses are structured as bridges leading students to successful employment or further study. Courses are designed and taught by staff who have a rich and deep experience of working with students on all levels of study – from undergraduate to postgraduate and research. Additionally, a large majority of our staff are actively engaged in real world projects, ranging from corporate businesses, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and the local community. This directly impacts on the real-world quality of our teaching and engagement with our students.In order to enhance the future prospects of our graduates, our teaching methods are carefully designed and are centred on enhancing transferable skills for our students, covering everything from teamwork to in-depth research, and presentation skills to report writing.

The Faculty of Social and International Studies is located in the main 'City Campus' of the University of Bradford. The central location of our School and its buildings allows students easy access to all facilities at the Campus, including the newly refurbished library, Student Central - including Student Unionand Unique Fitness & Lifestyle Sports Centre.

Support

While studying in the Faculty of Social an International Studies, you will be able to access a wide range of student support services, including personal tutoring.

Additionally you will be able to access help and support including English Language Support, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia, preparing and doing exams and planning and writing essays that are provided by the centrally based Bradford University Services, through the Students' Union, International Office and Disability Service.

During the first few weeks of term the University provides a programme of social activities for international students to help you settle in and to meet new people. After this time, you may wish to join one of the many societiesrun by Bradford Student's Union, which include sports clubs, cultural and religious societies, volunteering and social activities.
