ZHAW School of Management and Law
Established in 1968, the ZHAW School of Management and Law (SML) is one of the leading business schools in Switzerland today, offering internationally recognized Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs, a broad range of continuing education courses and programs, and innovative research and development projects. All programs are based on scientific theory, interdisciplinary in nature, and strongly oriented to real-world business practices. The school motto "Building Competence. Crossing Borders" reflects the commitment of the SML to provide superior educational opportunities and be open to the international community. The SML maintains numerous cooperative relationships with selected partner universities around the world.
The ZHAW School of Management and Lawcollaborates with more than140 partner universities in Europe, North and South America, and the Asia-Pacific region.
In 2015, the SML became the first business school of a Swiss university of applied sciences to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). A mere five percent of the world’s business schools have managed to achieve this prestigious standard of achievement awarded by the most significant international accreditation institution for business schools.
In 2012, as the first university business school in Switzerland, the SML was awarded the “Institutional Audit” Quality Seal by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).
The ZHAW School of Management and Law offers modern classrooms and lecture theaters with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and LAN connections. Facilities include group work areas as well as a 280-seat lecture theater for seminars, workshops, and podium discussions. The ZHAW sports program(in German)offers a wide range of activities, from standard gym facilities to team sports such as volleyball, badminton, and soccer, and individual pursuitssuch asclimbing and golf. These activities are either free of charge or at special rates forstudents and staff.

After earning your Bachelor’s degree, you automatically become a member of the alumni family of the ZHAW School and Management and Law. You will receive news about the university, information on continuing education programs, and invitations to events at the ZHAW School of Management and Law. If you wish to be more actively involved, you may join one or more of the SML associations, clubs, groups, or classes open to alumni.

Student living costs in Switzerland are comparable to major European cities and are, in fact, lower than those in Paris and London.
Actual living costs depend on personal lifestyle and choice of recreational activities.Based on the experience of former students, CHF 1,300 should be sufficient.
