In alignment with the words of our Rector, prevention can only be exercised effectively from the study of all the factors that have to do with the phenomenon of gender violence. We all have to improve our understanding of the causes of this violence and the basic mechanisms to be eradicated. And that knowledge must have a multidisciplinary approach, because there are many different aspects, social, political, educational, health, legal, psychological, to name a few, that deal with the problem.
That's the focus of this master, who are deciding I take the course, I want to congratulate for that, because you show a commitment to the solution of a terrible social problem and because you have chosen a training program from the seriousness, consistency and excellence will help to work to prevent gender violence.

Objectives and Skills
The Master in Gender Violence Prevention pursues the main objective, to respond to the urgent need to train qualified in the field of Domestic Violence professionals. Since the current framework of development of the person and taking as its starting point the concepts of prevention, through coeducation and not real discrimination between men and women, on grounds of sex.
In short, the aim is to develop a new integrated model against Gender Violence, from prevention, in all areas that are involved in this great social tragedy.
At the end of the training process / participant will be able to:
Analyzing the etiology of social conflicts that lead to gender issues and equal treatment of people.
Evaluate the factors that cause conflicts and disorders from the perspective of gender in our society.
Connect, manage and interpret the main sources of data on domestic violence, and consequently, develop basic explanations on the specific forms of this.
Identify the diversity of responses to gender violence distinguishing the contributions of the most appropriate prevention models for the phenomenon.
Critically analyze the psychological reality of gender violence.
Knowing the different measures and criminal penalties that apply to domestic violence.
Ability to analyze current legislation and the procedure performed with the victims of gender violence.
Ability to implement the knowledge acquired in the intervention in gender violence.
Knowing the dynamics of operation of centers and services to protect victims of domestic violence.
Have knowledge of intervention techniques with victims of gender violence.
The / the participant is a / a professional in the areas of social, legal and health sciences, interested / a in the work within the framework of the prevention of gender violence; People with anxiety in addressing this problem from any of its vertices, whether from psychological aspects, law, education, advertising, the law enforcement, social work etc. (Not restricted to any area of knowledge, if the relevance is assessed in particular cases, with the commission who will ultimately decide).
