INTERNATIONAL CENTRE OF EDUCATION

International students who would like to study at our Univerity has also possibility to study in polish, after finishing the one year preparatory course at the International Centre of Education. We has a students from all over the world , who is studying at the Cracow University of Technology in polish after they graduate from ICE.

The International Centre of Education is an inter-faculty unit of the Cracow University of Technology. We have been welcoming international students and researchers for over 25 years.

The aims of the Centre are twofold – firstly, to conduct Urban Studies and Sustainability Studies; – secondly, to provide one-year Preparatory Courses and short intensive Bridging Courses for international students intending to start studying in Poland.

Preparatory and Bridging Courses are means by which international students may better meet the scholastic requirements for entry into universities. Courses at ICE are particularly appropriate for providing the academic background needed to succeed in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at a university in Poland. We offer Preparatory Courses to degree programmes in many disciplines of engineering and science, architecture, arts.

Classes are taught by experienced lecturers and researchers. Our international students have a very good record of personal and academic achievement.

Starting from Spring Semester, the Faculty of Architecture Cracow University of Technology offers three semester (1.5-year) Master’s Degree Studies in English (M.Arch.). The offer of these studies is meant for students with Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and prepares them for professional practice as architects. [+]

Starting from Spring Semester, the Faculty of Architecture Cracow University of Technology offers three semester (1.5-year) Master’s Degree Studies in English (M.Arch.). The offer of these studies is meant for students with Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and prepares them for professional practice as architects. The programme of studies is exactly the same as the curriculum in Polish which is a professional degree programme accredited by The Polish Accreditation Committee, The Accreditation Commission for Polish Universities of Technology, the EU evaluation as well as The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) evaluation. The programme of studies lasts for three semesters. The total number of ECTS credits is 90 (30 per semester). The total number of hours is 900 plus 150 for Internships after the 1st semester (1st semester: 405h +150h; 2nd semester: 390h, 3rd semester: 75h). The Master of Architecture programme of studies focuses on a wide range of issues directly affecting contemporary architecture and urban design: - Architectural and urban design in the fields of multifamily housing and public use buildings, - Spatial and regional planning, - Preservation of monuments and revalorization of urban complexes with design for conservation, - Landscape architecture, architecture and planning in the countryside, - Building construction systems and building structures, - Theory of architecture and urban design as well as spatial and regional planning, - History of art, culture and contemporary urban design, - Ecology and environmental protection. Theoretical and practical competences in Chemical Engineering, such as design, implementation and testing of production lines used in chemical industry or related industry branches. [+]

Theoretical and practical competences in Chemical Engineering, such as design, implementation and testing of production lines used in chemical industry or related industry branches. There are the following three specialties prepared within the study program: Engineering of Technological Processes, Engineering of Biotechnological Processes, and Engineering of Renewable Energy Sources. Currently, Engineering of Technological Processes is taught, but the other specialties can be implemented as well if students select them. Graduates of the Chemical Engineering program are employed both in management and R&D positions in chemical industry, while some continue their education at doctoral studies. Their extended knowledge and skills acquired in the study enables them to solve engineering and technological problems encountered in industry, improve existing products and processes or develop new ones, design new installations and apply professional engineering software for optimization of industrial processes within the scope of their specialty. Educational Requirements 1. Completion of Bachelor Program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a chemistry- related discipline, equivalent to 210 ECTS credits, at the level of not less than 60% of maximum grade points in each credited course. 2. Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or chemistry-related discipline 3. Positive verification of B.Sc diploma and transcript of grades by the Admission Committee. 4. Graduating from the CUT (studies in English) will provide an opportunity for the building licence application, after certain legal requirements are fulfilled. After a two-year practical training period, the graduates will also have a chance to apply for the European Union engineer degree, which is honoured in all European Union countries. [+]

The Faculty of Civil Engineering is one of the largest faculties of Cracow University of Technology, and is also among the most prominent Polish faculties educating prospective civil engineers. Our Faculty offers 14 specializations, including Building and Engineering Structures, Road Engineering, Railroad Engineering, Mechanics of Materials and Structures, Bridges and Underground Structures, Technology and Management of Construction. As Poland joined the European Union in 2004, students and research workers were given new opportunities for academic exchanges, as well as studying in English at universities abroad. Today, students of Civil Engineering Faculty have both the knowledge of the technical subjects and a good command of English. Nowadays the Computer Science is present everywhere in a human life. Computers are commonly used for working, getting and broadcasting of information, data processing, production management, air- sea- and land traffic control, communication, multimedia and etc. People, who are familiar with modern information techniques, who are able to force computers for use all their possibilities, who know how to exploit capabilities of complex computer networks and who are willing to write programs for a new sophisticated applications are wanted for almost all branches of human activity. Our graduates may obtain a professional knowledge in these and many other problems connected with the use of computers. They will be able to work with project management, software engineering, implementation and management of modern informatics’ systems. They will be also able to manage of data bases, internet services, computer systems and networks. They will know how to solve problems in these fields, starting from their analysis, building UML models, creation of algorithms and writing suitable software.
