PRESENTATION OF THE GROUP IESA

Founded in 1985 by Françoise and Jean-Marie Schmitt, IESA (Higher Institute of Arts) is a group of two schools, arts & culture and IESA IESA multimedia, recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Communication.

Three areas of study: business culture, art market and media

The combination of its three areas of training is a real asset that enables its students to understand all the cultural sector (contemporary tourism, art, new music, digital arts, events, ...) and benefit from knowledge and skills be shared (such as digital communications, video production, project management, ...).

Formations Group IESA welcomes more than 1,000 students and trainees in vocational training every year in curriculum 1 to 5 years (bac bac + 3 + 5) and for short specialization courses (lectures, evening classes, modular training).

Schools IESA Group shall issue state-recognized and recorded RNCP Level I-III available as part of initial and ongoing training, but also by the Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).

NEW: The IESA group in Lyon

In 2013, IESA has taken over the activities of vocational training NACRe (New Cultural Agency Rhône-Alpes) in order to perpetuate and develop a training center for careers in culture and art market in Lyon. IESA Lyon is particularly specialized in the field of performing arts and marketing, mediation and dissemination of contemporary art in all its forms.

A pedagogy rooted in action

The faculty is composed mostly of recognized professionals (350 players per year) that provide students with the knowledge and practical skills needed for various jobs in arts and cultural sectors to which they are preparing. Case studies, projects 'actual size' and internships in companies and cultural institutions are an integral part of the pedagogy of the IESA school and provide students with the development of expertise and professional reflexes.

Openness to international

IESA knew early woven a network of professional and international partners, enabling it to offer its students courses validated by one of the best universities in Britain, the University of Warwick, Of semesters and internships as part of the Erasmus Charter and a partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This international opening continues in Paris: training students in the art market or cultural professions working in a multicultural environment alongside 10 to 15% of foreign students from over 30 different countries. Some of the courses are taught in English language to ensure better employability in an area become very international. Finally, IESA, in partnership with Paris School of Business offers an MBA in Arts & Cultural Management, which forms the international cultural managers of tomorrow.
