ESIEE Paris

Introduction

Founded in 1904, ESIEE Paris comprises 2 schools: ESIEE Engineering and ESIEE Management. ESIEE Paris is a hub of higher education and research focussed on all aspects of technological innovation and a founder member of the newly-created «Université Paris-Est».

  •     ESIEE Engineering opens the door to a variety of professional careers in the fields of computer science, electronics, telecommunications and embedded systems.
  •     ESIEE Management works at the interface of Management and Technology.


Around 1.100 students supervised by 95 academics are registered at ESIEE Paris. 200 to 250 Master's Degrees are awarded each year. 50 students are studying for a PhD in the ESIEE labs.

The programme aims to train engineers with a high technical added value in the field of micro- and nano- technologies applied to wireless communications, electronic circuits, optoelectronic, photonic MEMS, BioMems, sensors etc.The first year consists of a common core of courses focusing on fundamental scientific and technical aspects and tools. The second year consists of specialised courses in one of the two options (Wireless communications, Micro- and Nano- Systems).The applied hands-on nature of the second year will provide students with qualifications very sought-after in both the current industrial environment, and in academic research. MOTIS will be taught entirely in English.It is divided into 2 semesters of course & project work, followed by a 6-month internship in an enterprise or organisation in France or abroad. This internship will be concluded by the presentation of a Master's thesis.IT professionals increasingly need to be fully involved in management-related activities, while managers need to understand the information systems underpinning their enterprises or organisations. Options: Computer Imagery & Distributed and Embedded SystemsThis two-year programme aims to make its attendees experts in the fields of digital image and distributed real time systems.While the first year consists of a common core focused on fundamentals of both fields, courses of the second year are oriented towards two specialisations: one in digital imaging, covering topics of image analysis, computer vision, and image synthesis with equal importance, the other on distributed real time systems, with a special emphasis on software issues and networking.
