EPF Graduate School of Engineering


EPF Graduate School of Engineering is a leading Engineering School, “Grande Ecole” in France, fully accredited by the French Ministry of Education & Research and awarding the “Titre de l’Ingénieur” according to the “Commission des Titres de l’Ingénieur”.

Founded in 1925, EPF Ecole d’Ingénieurs, then known as “Ecole Polytechnique Féminine”, was one of the first engineering Schools in France to admit women. EPF has been coeducational since 1994.

EPF trains generalist engineers as the curriculum combines scientific, technical and technological courses. It enables the graduate engineer to participate in Research, to manage projects considering all aspects and to exercise their talents in a variety of sectors in France and abroad.

The five year long curriculum is divided into two cycles:

  • The Bachelor cycle is dedicated to general engineering courses
  • The Master’s cycle covers the last two years of the programme when students can choose their own specialisation allowing them to personalize their studies.

In the 4th year, students have the choice between 6 different Majors: Mechanics, Environment, Energy; IT Telecommunications, Urban Development, and Engineering Management.

In the final year, 12 specialisations are proposed, 3 of them are entirely taught in English:

  • Environmental & Innovative Engineering
  • Business Decision Engineering
  • Innovation, Creation & Entrepreneurship (MSc ICE pathway)

EPF has 3 campuses in France: Sceaux (close to Paris), Troyes (in Champagne, 1 hour and a half from Paris by train) and Montpellier (south of France).

The Master of Science Innovation, Creation & Entrepreneurship was founded from a partnership between Groupe ESC Troyes (School of Management) and EPF Graduate School of Engineering [+]

The Master of Science Innovation, Creation & Entrepreneurship was founded from a partnership between Groupe ESC Troyes (School of Management) and EPF Graduate School of Engineering together with the Science Park Technopole de l’Aube en Champagne and its 60+ Start-ups. Accredited by the “Conférence des Grandes Ecoles”, this joint programme is open to students with a management, engineering or design background. A JOINT PROGRAMME COMBINING ENGINEERING, DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT This 13/14-month-programme starts with 8 months/two semesters of classes followed by a 5/6-month-internship or personal Business Project Creation. 100% of courses are taught in English. The Master of Science Innovation, Creation & Entrepreneurship is made for tomorrow's managers willing to work in several fields of expertise in a cross cultural environment. ENTREPRENEURIAL CULTURE & BUSINESS GAME Part of the programme aims at providing students with a solid entrepreneurial culture through meetings with Business owners, networking sessions, lectures, workshops and European Commission lobbies. In the course of their 8 months of studies, they will be faced with several sessions of intensive 3-daychallenges given by startups. By the end of the second semester, in order to assess their overall skills, students take part in a Business Game. For a whole week, they are asked to manage and implement an innovative project within challenging scenarios. ORGANISATION OF STUDIES SEMESTERS 1 & 2 The first 2 semesters are dedicated to go deeper in the knowledge of Management with entrepreneurship and innovation-oriented courses. Examples of courses: Economic Intelligence, Monitoring and Research Expert Information Standards and Quality System Engineering, Conception and Numerical Modeling Creating an Innovative Organization Management by Processess Entrepreneurial Team Formation Rethinking and Designing New Business Model Business Plan Achievement Entrepreneurial Finance Design Thinking FINAL PROJECT(5 months at least) The final project is oriented towards innovative entrepreneurship. This project may be fulfilled in a company or dedicated to the creation of a company (start-up): incubation at Technopole de l’Aube en Champagne (Science Park) EXAMPLES OF JOBS Innovative Project Leaders Entrepreneurship and Innovation Consultant Change / Strategic Management Consultant Head of R&D and Innovation Director Entrepreneur ADMISSION Applicants may have attended education programmes in the fields of engineering, management or design. International students must have a Bachelor degree. French students must have capitalized at least 240 ECTS credits (equivalent to 4 years’ higher education) in the course of their previous studies. Selection is based on the quality of the academic background together with a solid personal project. Application of candidates with a significant professional experience may be considered.
