Introduction

The University of Canberra prides itself in being a recognised leader in the provision of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education underpinned by a sound research profile. The University of Canberra is set in a unique environment. The Campus is a haven of clean air, tall trees and native vegetation, with many different birds, including white cockatoos, and resident kangaroos, yet it's handy to popular entertainment and shopping venues including Westfield Shoppingtown in nearby Belconnen,and the Canberra Centre in Civic, the City Centre.

Academic standards are high and career results are excellent. The university has produced over sixty thousand graduates. Many now occupy senior positions in the professions, the corporate world and the public service of Australia and several other countries. Others have become prominent writers, journalists, performers and sports men and women. The University prides itself on professionally preparing students for professional life.

There are more than nine thousand full time students, working towards undergraduate Bachelors Degrees and Diplomas, and Graduate Certificates, Diplomas, Masters degrees or Doctorates. Students are attracted to the University from the ACT and surrounding areas, from every state in Australia and from some 80 countries around the world. 1100 students live on campus and this number will increase in future years.

The primary purpose of the coursework Master of Architecture degree is to provide a professionally accredited, graduate level qualification for candidates whose first degree is the Bachelor of Applied Science (Architecture) or the Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Canberra, or equivalent.

On completion of the Master of Architecture award a student will have developed conceptual understandings and practical application skills in the area of architectural design to a professionally accredited standard, as determined by the Board of Architects of the ACT and the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, who accredit and recognise the degree.

Students with degrees other than the Bachelor of Applied Science (Architecture) or Bachelor of Arts in Architecture or equivalent may apply, but may be subject to a bridging program and the submission of a portfolio of work before admission to the Master of Architecture program.... [-]

This is digital design: a practice that engages deeply with digital processes, digital materials, and digital contexts.

Digital designers need to understand the fundamental elements of computing - data and algorithm - and work directly with them to create new processes, forms and practices.

This Master of International Revenue Administration course is designed for law and non-law graduates who wish to develop their skills in the administration of government revenues. The course will cover international models and approaches to revenue management, while assisting students to apply these principles in their own domestic context. The course will be particularly suited to government officials, tax and excise accountants and company executives responsible for the implementation of, and compliance with, revenue policies and legislation. The course will examine policy, legislation and administration in the key areas of direct and indirect taxation, customs and excise.

The course provides an opportunity for professionals from non-IT backgrounds to become professionally qualified in information technology. The course is eligible for accreditation with the Australian Computer Society at the professional level. Students meeting the requirements of the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma may choose to exit with the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology or Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.
