RMIT specialises in clinical psychology.This program offers you the necessary training to become a professional psychologist. It is oriented towards cognitive-behavioural psychology and you'll be trained and expected to work according to the scientist-professional model.

Learning and teaching

Internal practicums are carried out under supervision at our Psychology Clinic.Case conferences are held in groups to review clinical cases and further develop clinical knowledge and skills and are led by an experienced practitioner.You'll be assisted to undertake 2 external practicums (minimum of 40 days and 60 days, respectively) in agencies like hospitals, clinics and other health facilities.Casework courses and field placements comprise a minimum of 132 days of practicum experience. You'll also do a supervised research thesis.RMIT offers a variety of learning and teaching approaches including lectures, seminars, studios, workshops, presentations, group discussions and syndicate work. These are primarily in English.
