El máster en Ética y Democracia introduce al estudiante en la formación y capacitación interdisciplinaria en los ámbitos de la ética y la filosofía política. Especialmente, ofrece conocimientos avanzados en ética empresarial y en teoría de la democracia. Este máster proviene del programa de doctorado interuniversitario Ética y Democracia, que tiene reconocida la Mención de Calidad del Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia desde el año 2004. La investigación pionera en el ámbito de las éticas aplicadas y de la filosofía política ha permitido que sea reconocido desde el año 2003 como Grupo de I+D+i de Excelencia de la Generalitat Valenciana, donde cuenta hasta el año 2014 con un programa de grupos de investigación de excelencia Prometeo. El máster permitirá optar al acceso al programa interuniversitario de doctorado Ética y Democracia, que posee en la actualidad el reconocimiento de Doctorado Hacia la Excelencia (BOE 6 de noviembre de 2011). This year our Master celebrates the 20th anniversary of its creation. Our history dates back to 1994 when, thanks to our founder Dr. Vicent Martínez Guzmán, the first conference of Philosophy for Peace was conducted in the Universitat Jaume I to which more than 100 people attended. Since then, our programme has been growing and consolidating as one of the best in its subject in the Spanish territory, besides of having obtained an important recognition around the world, thanks to the more than a thousand students coming from more than a hundred countries that have gone through our programme and to the more than 250 national and international teachers that have taught in our Master. From the programme we would like to take this opportunity to greet and thank all the people who have made possible this achievement; thanks to their work in favour of the construction of peace cultures, our peaceful ideal has been spread around the world. Program Structure International Master in Peace, Conflict and Development Studies: 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System), divided into two academic years: three teaching terms (30 ECTS each one), and a research or professional training term (30 ETCS). Registration The program offers three language options: - International Option: students that choose this option can enroll in courses taught in English and Spanish. - English Option: students that choose this option can enroll only in courses taught in English. - Spanish Option: students that choose this option can enroll only in courses taught in Spanish. Fees This Master as part of the Postgraduate Official Program (POP), follows the criteria for tuition fees according to the Decreto 107/2013 (BOE Núm. 7077, 29-07-2013). 1 credit ECTS costs € 46.20. The tuition fees for the academic year 2013-14 are € 2,772.00 (60 ECTS), for two terms, for all language options and elective courses. The tuition fees for one term are € 1,386.00 (30 ECTS). The above tuition fees include the cost of course materials in electronic format, library, computer room usage and other facilities of the campus. Tuition must be paid in Euros. In addition to the cost of the credits, you must pay the administrative fees, that are €34.33 which include file openning (€27,34), student card (€5,87) and university insurance (for students under 28 years old) (€1,12). If necessary, there is a fee for equivalence validation of non EU degrees (€155,22).
