This discipline was based on the group of warship internal combustion engine (1953) of Harbin Military Institute - HMI, marine gas turbine (1958 HMI) and so on.
Authorized discipline for Master Degree was approved by the Office of Academic Degree of Chinese Government in 1989. There are 19 teachers (15 Professors, 2 Associate Professors and 2 lectures, including 12 PhD holders) who conduct research on Marine Engineering for a long time.
