Masters in Humanities and Social Sciences in Asia 2017. The Mediterranean branch of the Master in Advanced European and International Studies (MAEIS) is targeted at students who have completed their undergraduate studies. Its objective is to give students an overarching, encompassing vision of the political, social, economic, and cultural challenges of today’s world. The Master’s programme follows an original approach which distinguishes it from other Master’s courses in EuroMediterranean Studies and International Relations: The MAEIS is an international, interdisciplinary and itinerant programme which aims to educate the next generation of EuroMediterranean decisionmakers. Following the slogan “Learning and living the Mediterranean”, the participants rotate each trimester, moving their place of studies from Nice to Tunis and then to Istanbul. The MAEIS is a one year programme, subdivided into three terms. Degree and recognition Students who successfully complete the programme are awarded two certifications at the end of the academic year: Master in Advanced European and International Studies: This is the diploma of CIFE, certifying the successful completion of the academic curriculum and granting 60 ECTS credits at Master level. The degree qualification Chargé de Mission en Organisations Européennes et Internationales (Policy Officer in European and International Organisations): This qualification is recognised by the French state as a degree at Master level (level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework EQF). Admission requirements This graduate programme is aimed at students who have already completed a first degree (minimum three years of study at university level). Furthermore, students must have an active knowledge of English and French. You can find more detailed information on the application procedure and apply online at www.ie-ei.eu. Deadline for applications: 15 June of the current year Teaching modules Conflict Management and Peace Making The Mediterranean is a case study par excellence for Peace and Conflict Studies. In the last two decades Mediterranean societies have been significantly affected by intergroup violence and interstate conflicts: from the Western Balkans to Cyprus, from Israel to Palestine, from Libya to Syria. Sustainable Development and Globalisation The 21st century and especially the Mediterranean face unprecedented economic, environmental and social challenges, as the globalised economic development exerts increased pressure on limited resources, deteriorates the environment and creates growing inequalities. Regional Integration and Transformation The EU has become a role model of regional integration. How is the dynamic architecture of European institutions, including European Neighbourhood Policy, functioning? To what extent do the Arab League or the Union for the Mediterranean follow a similar logic of regional integration? How can we explain the intraregional differences in the Southern Mediterranean since the Arab Spring? Mediterranean Politics and Societies Migration, Gender, and Youth are policy fields that all Mediterranean Societies have in common, but approach differently. At the crossroads of theory and practice, this policy oriented module proposes solutions to the historical, social and cultural challenges Mediterranean societies face today. Project Management This module equips the participants with the professional skills and competences that will enable them to work in the field of EuroMediterranean cooperation. They will participate to negotiation and mediation trainings, simulation games and follow workshops on project cycle management and intercultural communication. Overview of the academic year The first term (October to December) starts in the European Union, in Nice, France. It encompasses classes on the basics of the five teaching modules. Studying in France helps students to analyse the EuroMediterranean relations and regional integration from an EU perspective. The second term (January to March) starts off in Tunis, Tunisia. Experts from the region and of different disciplines will analyse EuroMediterranean challenges in times of transformation and globalisation. A special focus will be put on youth policies in the Mediterranean. Studying in Tunisia will provide the students with a unique experience of a historic democratisation process that turns the country into a role model throughout the MENA region. The programme concludes (April to July) in Istanbul, Turkey at our partner university, Istanbul Bilgi University, one of the best private universities in the Eastern Mediterranean. A special focus will be given to Sustainable Development and Climate Action, as well as to Project Management classes. Students will have the opportunity to advance in their research work, as the months of May and June are left at their disposal to work on their thesis. The programme concludes with the defence of the thesis and oral exams. With their graduation, students become part of CIFE’s wide Alumni network. [-]

Master of Applied Psychology in Coaching

HELP University
Campus Part time 2 - 3 years Open Enrollment Malaysia Kuala Lumpur

With its unique but powerful blend of psychological principles and coaching skills, this program will help develop coaches with the ability to understand people and help them reach their full potential in a powerful and structured way. [+]

Developing World Class Coaches With its unique but powerful blend of psychological principles and coaching skills, this program will help develop coaches with the ability to understand people and help them reach their full potential in a powerful and structured way. What Does A Professional Coach do? "Coaches partner with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential" – ICF. In essence Coaching is about helping people to attain higher level of performance so that they can succeed in any area, be it in their life success, in their relationship with people, in getting the most of their careers or in becoming a better performer, etc. Professional Coaching: A Driver for Extraordinary Corporate Growth Professional coaches were used to be hired only by among the largest and most elite companies in the world but now this trend has spread to many of the MNCs (multinationals) and GLCs (government link corporations) in Malaysia and the Asia region. This is because there is growing evidence of high ROIs (return on investments) on hiring professional coaches to raise the bar of performance many times more. For example, IBM reported in 2010 a ROI of 563% on their coaching program for sales and marketing executives – ICF. When people in organizations demonstrate extraordinary performance, it is often due to the presence of coaches in their lives. Coaches are the closest and most capable allies anyone can have to help them see their hidden potentials, challenge their self beliefs, stretch and walk with them on the path of excellence. Coaches are not an option but a critical success factor for anyone who wants to be the best they can ever be. This explains why for centuries till this very day, coaches are depended on to help sports people achieve breakthrough achievements. Now this same method is used in almost all aspects of life. Join one of the fastest growing professions in the world today While the majority of clients in the world who employ professional coaches are corporate leaders, there are more and more young working professionals, students, performing artists, professional athletes, people working in government and non-profit organizations employing professional coaches too. A survey conducted by the ICF on over 15,000 respondents in Asia, America, Europe, and Australasia indicated that over 50% of the general population are aware of professional coaching and its benefits. More importantly, recognition of the importance of coaching was the highest among young adults which points to an upward trend in demand for professional coaches. This program is designed to suit the needs of working adults. All lectures and tutorials are scheduled on weeknights (Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:00pm to 10:00pm) and on Saturdays. [-]

This combination allows the scholars to facilitate problem identification and problem solving in regional and international agendas. Policy Paper Different from the two-year master’s programs, scholars are not required to write a solid master’s thesis. Instead, they are required to write a policy paper on an important policy-related topic under the supervision of faculty members. This gives the scholars an opportunity to learn how to discuss their policy topic by integrating the concepts and methods that have been acquired during the entire one-year program as well as knowledge developed in their previous professional careers.
