It is designed for young professionals who want to gain an expertise in the management and evaluation of public policy in the European context and at the heart of two major European capitals. Students follow first-year courses at the Master in Public Policy at Sciences Po and second-year courses at the Master of Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance. Upon successful completion of the two years, students receive 2 degrees: the Master of Public Policy from Sciences Po and the Master of Public Policy from Hertie. First year at Sciences Po Dual degree students are required to take the regular curriculum course load of a continuing Sciences Po student during the first year. The curriculum is built around a thorough core module in public economics, public policy, quantitative analysis and evaluation of public policy. During the first year at Sciences Po, students must also select a policy stream. The School offers multiple policy streams and dual degree students are encouraged to choose the policy stream that best aligns with their professional project and their second-year concentration at Hertie. The curriculum also includes a multitude of electives that examine current policy debates with insights from academics and practitioners. Second year at Hertie School of Governance Students follow courses in the Master of Public Policy at the Hertie School.
