Victoria has eight universities and various government-run institutions that facilitate technical and further education. In addition, there is a state Library which is good for researchers undertaking higher education in the area.

A criminal justice program usually features courses that teach students the skills and knowledge needed to work in law enforcement. Courses in a program may include policing, criminology, cybercrime, ethics, administration, border security and corrections.

Australia has a subsidized higher education for students pursuing the undergraduate degrees. They also give loan and grants for the post graduate students. Higher learning starts at undergraduate degree level to a doctoral degree offered in any field of study.

A masters is earned after students complete an undergraduate degree program. To obtain a masters, you usually need to complete 12 to 18 college courses that often involve completing comprehensive tests and/or a thesis.
