Masters in Business Studies in Jefferson in USA. PROGRAM STRUCTURE The online MBA is offered in conjunction with the Evening-Weekend MBA program classes given on campus. Courses follow the standard MUM semester calendar beginning in August and January. The program is offered in a cohort model, one course at a time for all students. Students may start at the beginning of any semester. Two-credit courses last 4 weeks, and four-credit courses last 8 weeks. The degree requirements for the 60-credit MBA program can be fulfilled in six semesters, including two summers as extensions of the spring semesters. Students, who wish to join the on campus MBA with the daytime class schedule, may do so at the beginning of any semester after meeting admissions requirements. All credits from the online MBA will be recognized. All students begin their first semester with: A four-week, 2-credit “Science and Technology of Consciousness (STC),” a foundational course in Consciousness Based Education that explores deep principles for holistic development of body, mind and consciousness. Each of the subsequent semesters begins with a two-week, 1-credit “Forest Academy” in which the faculty lead students in a deeper reflection on business based on the knowledge taught in the STC course. WEEKLY CLASS SCHEDULE The Evening-Weekend MBA courses are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7:30-9:00 pm US Central time and Saturday mornings 10:00-12:00 noon. The class sessions are video-conferenced live via the Internet and are recorded for students whose time zone or work schedule does not permit synchronous participation. Readings and homework account for another 7-10 hours of academic work per week. Focus on Sustainable Business The theme for each semester is based on one of the main business functions: marketing, accounting, operations, etc. The semester begins with an introductory course on that theme and ends with a course on sustainable business in the context of that theme. The schedule of courses for the next three years appears at the bottom of this page. Students completing this program will earn the MBA specialization in Sustainable Business. NOTE: If you have a business BA degree If you have an undergraduate degree with a major in business, you may receive waiver credit for any of the seven Foundation areas in which you received a grade of B or higher: Marketing, Accounting, Financial Management, Business Law and Ethics, Operations Management, Human Resource Management, and Sustainable Business. Masters in Business Studies in Jefferson in USA. The specialization in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) – SAP Finance is designed to give students hands-on experience with one of the world’s leading integrated information system platforms. In the third course of the sequence, you will learn about the powerful reporting and data analysis tools for decision-making including use of SAP BusinessObjects enterprise software. These courses will prepare students for SAP certification exams and for professional positions. The MBA specialization in Enterprise Resource Planning with SAP Finance requires a minimum of three of the four (4 credit) SAP courses to fulfill the 16 credit requirement for an MBA specialization. The remaining 4 credits may be acquired by taking any MBA-level accounting course or another SAP course if schedule permits. All ERP students must possess basic background in accounting knowledge to be eligible to take the SAP-Finance courses. We offer basic financial and managerial accounting courses for MBAs in the fall semester each year. We also allow waiver of the accounting knowledge requirement based on B or higher grades in previous university courses or demonstrated competency by passing an online exam. With the ERP specialization, students may select between two tracks: Standard Track or Practical Training Internship Track. Additional financial assistance may be available to those in the Practical Training Internship track who meet eligibility requirements. Read below for more information. Standard Track (11-15 months to complete) Students who wish to finish their degree quickly choose the Standard track in ERP specialization. No prior experience with ERP platforms is required. Students may be able to waive up to 18 academic credits of business courses with B grades or higher. The program can be completed in 11-15 months. Students with no background in accounting will need to join the August entry so they can take pre-requisite accounting courses offered only in the fall semester. There is no university loan program for international students in this track. However, US permanent residents and citizens may qualify for US financial aid. Communicate with your Admissions Counselor for more details. International students in this track are eligible to apply for post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) upon graduation. Practical Training Internship Track (2.5 years to complete) The Practical Training Internship Track allows applicants with relevant prior field experience to gain practical training* while pursuing the MBA with ERP degree. Applicants need to possess at least two years of professional experience as an ERP user, ERP consultant, or IT professional who provided ERP technical support or software modifications of ERP modules. Experience with SAP is a plus, but not required. A professional accountant with at least two years of professional experience may also qualify even if they possess no prior work experience with any ERP system. Students in this track start with an 8-month full-time academic intensive on campus followed by up to 2 years of credit-bearing, full-time accounting internships* with companies in the U.S. During the internship phase of this track, students engage in ongoing academic coursework to complete their degree requirements. The university may offer a student loan to cover part of the program costs to applicants who fully meet qualification requirements. The track will require approximately 2.5 years to complete. *International students can take advantage of training opportunities by means of duly authorized Curricular Practical Training (CPT). [-]
