Our graduate programs, each with different program requirements, are based on and are fully compatible with the established European and American educational systems. It covers a wide range of basic academic subjects in fields such as music (composition, performance, musicology), physics (acoustics), engineering (signal processing, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, electronics) and psychology (psychoacoustics, experimental psychology, neuroscience). Current areas of application include musical instruments, music production, music information retrieval, digital music libraries, interactive multimedia systems, and auditory interfaces. The UPF's master's programme in Sound and Music Computing focuses on the more technological aspects of the field. Objectives This master's programme aims to train the researchers and professionals who shape sound and music computing in today's information society.
