Objectives Innovate through the integration of knowledge about Museology, Museography, Heritage and Information and Comunication Technologies (ICT). Nowadays the ICT is a priority for the European comission and also for each of its state members. The european digital agenda for 2020 and the portuguese digital agenda for 2015 are already defined. One of their main goal is qualifiyng the professionals and citizens with digital competences. The objective of this master is to give digital competences to the cultural sector in order to get new services and new applications to create new ways of interaction and learning. Students are encouraged to analyse the cultural value of the heritage in a multiple perspective of design of spaces and services, conservation and restauration, architectonic and urban intervention, management territory, regional development, and by using and apllying ICT they may promote new interactive experiences and new knowledge for the citizens/ users. Graduation requirements As in Portuguese law, a) and d), nº1, do artº 17º, do DL 74/2006, de 24 de Março: Have a Degree of a first cycle of studies; or Have a relevante scholar, scientific or professional curriculum which has to be recognized by the scientific board of the school where it is to be admited. Learning outcomes Study new museology, design of projects and spaces will give students the ability to understand how to learn new knowledge from the experience and interaction with an art object. Integrate knowledge from the conservation and restauration, from the regional development, from territory management and from the international networks of these previous areas, will give students the ability to look to the heritage as a part in a whole. Analyse and study the use of the Internet as a tool for make business, to learn, to share, to collaborate and to disseminate. All this in a safe and intelligent environment. An holistic and integrated perspective of the scientific areas that are supporting this Master will give students the technical and scientific abilities to solve problems and find new solutions, new services and new applications in a large multidisciplinary context. Teaching is guided by the realization of practical work of a professional nature, supported by strong theoretical knowledge and analysis of domestic and foreign publishing. The curriculum of the MSc program comprises the development of knowledge in the following areas scientific-technical: Editorial Design (110 ECTS); Graphic Culture (4 ECTS); Journalism (6 ECTS) Objectives The cycle of studies leading to a Master's degree in Editorial Design aims to provide/deepen conceptual, strategic and technical knowledge in the multidisciplinary field of editorial design. It also aims to promote the acquisition/development of varied skills: editorial, creative, experimentalism, planning and teamwork, with a view to integrate the student into the national and international job market. Professional Goals Holders of the master's degree in Editorial Design are prepared to perform as: Editorial Designer Art Director Graphic Designer Multimedia Designer in Publishing Houses, Magazines, Newspapers, Editorial Groups and other media; Design Studios, Advertising Agencies and Communication Companies; as freelancers. Qualification Requirements The master's degrees are regulated by Portuguese Law and applicable program regulations established by the School of Technology-IPT. In order to complete the master's degree it is necessary to accumulate 120 ECTS credits distributed throughout 4 curricular semesters as according to the course curriculum. Objectives This course of study includes: A master's program organised into modules corresponding to 75 ECTS credits; An original project or a professional internship including final report corresponding to 45 ECTS credits. This master's degree was designed so as to develop skills in the following technical-scientific areas: Building (40 compulsory ECTS credits); Structures (10 compulsory ECTS credits); Infrastructures (25 compulsory ECTS credits) Students can choose to undertake a project or internship in one of the technical-scientific areas earning the respective credits.
