MASTER Humanistic Studies Medellin: 53502 SNIES Presentation The Department of Humanities at the College of Sciences and Humanities at the University EAFIT offers professionals and researchers interested in the interdisciplinary study of the humanities Master in Humanistic Studies whose general purpose is to study phenomena of production, circulation and reception of social meaning from its discursive, narrative and symbolic practices, taking as central language studies, political studies and studies of narrative. Humanistic Studies nominal expression refers to two aspects of academia: a) a plurality of disciplines and to compete in the program, and whose formal particular objects and study materials cover a wide range of academic and research potential; b) "the development of skills that allow active participation in research projects that generate new knowledge or technological processes" (Art. 6 of Decree 1001 of April 3, 2006). The Master of Liberal Studies will have a research character and, according to the aforementioned article of the decree, culminating in a thesis whose content "should reflect the acquisition of an academic researcher's own scientific expertise, which will be deepened in a doctoral program ".
