Accounting

A masters refers to the completion of a graduate study program that prepares students to further their knowledge of a specific subject or advance their careers. The majority of masters are granted by state or public universities.

Accounting is often referred to as the “language of business.” It is a process which measures a business or organization’s financial and economic activity. There are various organizations within the field of accounting that assist with this process. Some of these groups may include standard-setters, professional bodies, and accounting firms.

New Zealand is a country of stunning and diverse natural beauty. Kiwi are not only one of the national symbols – the others being the silver fern leaf and koru – but also the name New Zealanders usually call themselves. Overseas students will need to pay the full tuition fees and their own living costs while studying at a New Zealand institution.

Wellington, being the centre of Government, offers career openings in Government Departments, for example, The Inland Revenue Department and Audit New Zealand. There are also opportunities in both large and small companies, financial institutions such as banks, charitable organisations, as well as law firms and share brokers to name but a few. Careers New Zealand – a New Zealand Government entity – maintains a website which lists career opportunities in various occupations including Accounting. It currently rates the chances of obtaining a job in accounting as being “good”. [-]
