The aim of the new International Development Studies programme in English is to prepare professionals for careers in development policy and practice. Students will acquire profound knowledge in development related issues as well as research methodology. They can also choose from a variety of specialization courses to best suit their needs and interest. Upon successful completion of the programme students will be equipped to work in state as well as private and non-governmental sectors at national and international levels. Besides providing theoretical knowledge, the programme also emphasizes practical-hands on experience and international outreach.
Applicants for Ph.D. studies should hold a M.Sc. degree in the relevant field of study and show that they are able to undertake the study successfully. The decision is made by Admission Committee nominated by the Dean of the Faculty based on study record transcripts and personal recommendations. Selected candidates may be invited for an interview.
Additional individual applications for remaining vacant themes from the list can be negotiated throughout the year.
