Master of Science in Information Technology Leadership (MSITL)

The Master of Science in Information Technology Leadership (MSITL) Degree is offered as a supplemental degree in the MBA Program.

The MSITL designed to educate organizational leaders on how to assess, evaluate, determine and manage technology choices from a business perspective. The MSITL student has the opportunity to focus in one of three areas of technology leadership: Chief Security Officer, Chief Information Officer and the Project Management office.

The MSITL program consists of 13 courses for 39 semester credit hours. The MSITL degree requires a minimum of 27 semester credit hours in residence at Walsh College.

  • MGT 680 Capstone Course (3 cr)
  • IT 504 Integrated Systems Thinking (3 cr)
  • IT 551 Fundamentals of Project and Portfolio Management (3 cr)
  • IT 505 Governance, Risk and compliance (3 cr)
  • IT 577 Management of Emerging Technologies (3 cr)

*Both graduate gateway courses (COM 510 and QM 520) must be completed with a “B” (3.000) or higher to continue on in the program. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.000 must be earned while in residence. All other courses must be completed with a “C” (2.000) or higher.
