Master of Science in Computer Science
The Master Program in Computer Science offers a unique choice of courses that cover all aspects of the discipline, ranging from advanced digital technologies to distributed information systems and security, including emerging disciplines such as biocomputing and service science.
The program will train excellent scientists to become top prefessionals in their own specific domain and drive industrial, scientific, and market innovation. Graduates will lead research and development teams in industry.
The school of computer science has recently strengthened its faculty by recruiting several world-class professors performing cutting-edge research at the the core of computer science, offering students the best computer science curriculum in Europe.
During their studies, students have the option to undertake an internship, in Switzerland or abroad, in some of the most famous companies. The Master curriculum ends with a thesis that can be done at EPFL, at a partner university (including some of the best universities in the US) or in one of the companies participating in the internship programme.
MSc Program Structure
Students may either choose the "fast track" program (90 ECTS credits), or do the comprehensive 120 ECTS program by adding either a 30 ECTS Specialization or a 30 ects Minor.
