Master of Global Business

The Master of Global Business is a 12-month conversion master’s degree. This programme is designed for someone who may not have a tertiary qualification in International Business but is seeking a professional role that involves cross-border business activities. As technology is changing the nature of business activity, organisations are increasingly aware of globalisation and its impact on management, business and society. It offers an exciting and rewarding opportunity to study global business for someone who already has a degree. It will enhance career opportunities and employment prospects. Entry criteria

Minimum entry requirements:

Master of Global Business

• A bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) with a minimum of a B
minus grade average in papers at Level 7 or equivalent.

• Admission to the Master of Global Business is subject to the
approval of the Dean (or representative).
English language level: (International students only)

• IELTS (academic) 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each band.

Postgraduate Diploma in Global Business

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in any subject or discipline and
does not have to be in international business.

• Admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Global Business is
subject to the approval of the Dean (or representative).
English language level: (International students only)

• IELTS (academic) 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each band.

Structure

Master of Global Business

• 9 taught Master’s Degree papers

• 1 applied research project

Papers cover core professional knowledge and skills in
international business, associated business knowledge and skills
and an applied research project.

Postgraduate Diploma in Global Business

• 8 taught Master’s Degree papers

Papers cover core professional knowledge and skills in
international business and associated business knowledge and
skills.

Career Opportunities in:

International account management, import and export,
international projects and sales, international consulting and
trade advising.

Time commitment and completion

Master of Global Business

There are 6 x 8 week terms each year allowing you to complete the
MGBus in 12 months of full time study. The programme may also
be taken on a part time basis and completed within 2 – 4 years.

Note: Full time study for a 180 point programme is 12 – 18 months
and part time from 24 – 48 months.

Each paper will comprise 36 class contact hours and 114 hours
of independent learning. The applied research project will involve
450 hours of learning and research under the guidance of a
supervisor.

Postgraduate Diploma in Global Business

The PgDipAF may be completed in a minimum of 4 x 8 week terms
or 8 months of full-time study. Each paper will comprise 36 class contact hours and 114 hours ofindependent learning.
