Master of Economics
Master of Economics by coursework is designed to equip students with up-to-date tools and skills in theory, application and quantitative methods. Core modules offered in this programme provide students the necessary knowledge and skills needed to work as an economist. Optional modules can be chosen according to students’ personal interests and preferences in diverse areas in economics and on their desire to work with either the government or in the private sector, either locally or abroad. There is some flexibility in choosing an elective module from within the Faculty or outside it provided the module is relevant to the programme. All students write an Academic Report, completing the 40 credit units required for the degree.
Full time – 1 year.
Part time – 2 years.
4 core modules and any 6 optional modules to be fully completed. Each module carries 4 modular credits.
