The study programme of the Master covers three main subject areas: Italian language / Italian and comparative literature / Arts, history and culture, within a holistic framework encouraging the encounter of expertise from different academic fields. Italian literature, the central subject of the Master, is taught with constant reference to the culture in which it has been produced and studied.
The teaching staff includes internationally renowned scholars with outstanding research records in the various fields. The study track opens three main career prospects, besides the option of an academic career: teaching of Italian language and culture; further training in library and archival sciences; museums and the conservation of cultural heritage.
