LASALLE College of the Arts

Singapore has greatly expanded its commitment and engagement with the arts and cultural institutions in the 21st century, while elsewhere in Asia, the arts, creative and cultural sectors are also developing rapidly and gaining global attention. This Programme builds upon the exciting innovations in this field both here and abroad. It is intended for Arts Managers, cultural entrepreneurs, and those with professional backgrounds and a desire to learn more about the arts to come together, reflect upon, debate and inquire about the nature of arts organizations in society.

Arts and cultural managers are highly skilled individuals who wish to support the arts in all their forms. The MA Programme aims to guide students in developing the knowledge, skills, and spirit of inquiry and innovation for managing arts and culture in a fast-changing environment.

Located in Singapore with its comprehensive arts scene, private, and public support structures, museums, theatres, festivals, and local venues, the Programme offers diverse opportunities to engage with arts professionals and with ongoing debates in the arts and cultural field. Students will engage with local and international guest speakers – practitioners and academics – particularly in the School of Arts Management’s seminar series, INTERACTIONS. In addition, students have opportunities to enjoy the breadth of artistic events, shows, artist talks and seminars that take place at LASALLE’s campus all year round.

Graduates from this Programme work in diverse cultural institutions and arts organisations in Singapore, the Region and abroad, and set up their own artistic initiatives.
