Program Description

Master in Management

EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht - EBS Business School

Graduates from the Master in Management programme are well placed in the employment market. Companies of all sizes and across all industry sectors urgently need highly qualified generalists with practical knowledge and international experience.

The EBS Master in Management delivers sound general know-how in the area of strategic management in combination with a wide selection of specialisms. Students acquire an understanding of complex management issues and learn how to apply their knowledge in all kinds of organizations. With a choice of five specialist options, you are able to tailor the programme to meet your preferences.

The programme also comprises modules in personal development, a study semester abroad to strengthen intercultural competence and a strong practical component with an integrated compulsory internship, expert lectures and corporate visits.

Why study the programme?

The Master in Management programme offers a generalist education in strategic management combined with a broad spectrum of specialist courses. Currently, you are able to choose five specialist options from a total of nine including, for example, Accounting & Controlling, Innovation, Strategy & Organization and Supply Chain Management, allowing you to tailor the programme to meet your career objectives.

All courses are taught in English and in small groups to ensure high-quality learning. An integral part of the curriculum is a study experience abroad (third semester) at one of our renowned partner universities. In addition, you also have the opportunity to gain a dual degree.

Through the involvement of experts and managers from the corporate world, an integrated compulsory internship lasting at least six weeks in Germany or abroad and extra-curricular events such as workshops, corporate visits or presentations, you will learn to apply theoretical knowledge to practical settings. At the same time you will have the opportunity to extend your network to include our corporate partners, for example Accenture, BCG, BMW, Danone, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Ernst & Young, L’Oréal, Morgan Stanley, P&G, and PwC, to name just a few.

Personal coaching in one-to-one talks, optimal support of personal development through modules such as Studium Fundamentale and Personal Mastery, together with a wide range of student initiatives round off the curriculum.

Programme structure

The programme begins in September and January each year and is organized in two semesters spent at EBS and one semester spent abroad.

The modules Research Methods I & II, Studium Fundamentale I & II and Personal Mastery are compulsory in all Master's programmes. This gives you the opportunity to learn from and share experiences and ideas with students pursuing other specialist options.

Strategic Management and Managerial Economics are compulsory courses in the Master in Management programme. In addition, you are able to choose five out of nine specialist options to tailor the programme to meet your preferences.

The third semester is reserved for your study experience abroad and the compulsory internship. The Master’s thesis is written between the second and third semester, frequently in cooperation with a business company.

Tuition fees

As a private university EBS is financed to a large extent by tuition fees. These ensure the high quality of teaching and other additional services, which makes studying at EBS so special.

Tuition fees for the Master's programme (MSc) amount to 7,950 euro per semester with an additional 690 euro enrolment fee and 100 euro for the admissions process.

Funding & Financing

Tuition fees should, however, not be an obstacle to studying at EBS Universität. The achievements and personal characteristics of applicants are decisive, not their social background. EBS offers all students a number of student finance and funding opportunities, which ensure that all applicants who successfully complete the admissions process are able to study at EBS.

We maintan co-operation agreements with local banking institutions, such as the Nassauische Sparkasse. Tution fees, monthly living costs and travel expenses should be considered when applying for a loan. The banks will, in most cases, make loans available to students from Germany and EU countries.
