The Master’s Course in Luxury Goods Communication Management trains students to become leaders within the fashion communication professional sphere. The accurate communication of a product, service, or collection is indispensable in order to build and strengthen a brand’s image in line with its marketing strategy. The course therefore equips students with people skills and competitive capability as well as with the technical and creative abilities they need to fully integrate themselves into the image and communication field of businesses, outsourcing agencies, magazine publishers and media channels in the fashion and lifestyle sector. Students learn how to successfully manage people, interpret current trends, and understand consumer needs. They will be able to follow every phase of a communication plan: from the briefing to the definition of objectives; the selecting of suitable means and methods to organising a photo shoot and drafting press releases, company profiles and fashion articles. On completion of the course, students will be able to step out into the professional world fully confident in their managerial skills and able to competently face competition. Masters Courses at Accademia del Lusso are all validated by eCampus University, and those who succefully complete one of these courses will therefore receive a first level Master's Degree.
Students will be able to work in management within a vast number of fashion communication fields including styling and image consulting, PR, events organising and fashion media communication. Career prospects include Communication Manager, Events Organiser, Public Relations Manager, Press Office Manager, Editor, Stylist, Research Consultant, Image Consultant.
On successful completion of the Master’s course, students will have the opportunity to decide whether to undertake an internship organised by authorised bodies who are legally recognised and agreed with the Placement Office at Accademia del Lusso. Internships will be offered to students based on their chosen Master’s course, their assessment during the course, and their general background.
Each module contains a mix of lectures and direct professional experience. The course is taught by professionals currently working within businesses in the fashion sector. This means that students are taught the most up-to-date methods and professional techniques, that they are continually in contact with the real world of work, and that they are connected with important fashion brands right from the start of their training.
Course content and structure
The course is organised into lectures and workshops.
Workshops form an essential part of the course, and include practical experiences and seminars that take place both in the school and at external locations. LandLab External visits to important places within the Milan fashion industry as well as visits to showrooms, libraries and museums, and analyses of fashion sites. BrandLab These workshops establish direct contact with brands and comprise visits, seminars and meetings with businesses and professionals from the fashion and luxury sectors (product, service and communication). EventLab Participation in important sector events such as fashion shows, catwalks and exhibitions. Workweeks A week-long full-time project based on a fashion company order. Students participate in two workweeks during this Master’s Course. Project Communication Workshop Students first learn how to structure a thesis, and then acquire structuring techniques for the final presentation, both in terms of materials and in terms of the speech in front of the Examination Committee.
