This degree programme offers the possibility to get a double/joint degree with other European Universities.

  • - Joint Master's Degree in Linguistics (English Language) in collaboration with Otto-Friedrich University - Bamberg (Germany); Karl-Franzens Universität - Graz (Austria); Pécsi Tudomànyegyetem - Pécs (Hungary); Université Paris Diderot - Paris 7 (France.)
  • - Double degree with Goethe University - Frankfurt
  • At the end of this study programme students can be awarded with a double degree: "Master of Science in Language" (Ca' Foscari University of Venice) and "Master of Arts in Italienstudien" (Goethe University Frankfurt).

Unrestricted, with the evaluation of minimum curricular requirements.

Admission requirements

To be admitted to this Second Cycle Degree programme, students must possess a proper individual educational background, as well as the minimum curricular requirements.
If the language of specialisation is not English, a certified knowledge of English at minimum level B2 is also required. Students who do not attest the knowledge at enrollment will be required to verify it before graduation. Access to the Doulbe Degree Curricula is only possible through a previous selection.

Learning Outcomes

This Second Cycle Degree Programme will provide advanced linguistic and cultural knowledge, analytical skills in the chosen foreign language as well as the necessary ability to interact with multidisciplinary and multicultural research groups.

According to their plan of study, students will acquire specific know-how in the historic, diachronic evolution of the language they choose, in the issues and tools concerning the teaching of Italian language, in the experimental phonetics and physics of acoustic (XML language, heuristic methods and accessibility indicators), in the linguistic tools to analyze language disorders and deafness, in the analysis of language and in the English language, culture and literature.

Languages available are: Albanian, Arabic, Czech, English, Hebrew, French, German, modern Greek, Italian Sign Language (LIS), Polish, Portuguese and Brazilian, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish.
