Journalism and management think together:
With the increase in digitalization comes an increase in the complexity of journalistic business models.Whoever wants to take over leadership in journalism must have management skills.
Students in the master program in journalism are trained not only in a journalistic way, but also get prepared for management and leadership skills. They acquire basic knowledge of media economics, learn to screen business models, and develop an entrepreneurial spirit. According to the non-consecutive principle of studies, the MHMK Master School’s degree in journalism program is not only limited to those who hold Bachelor degrees in journalism, but to all those interested in working as a journalist. Journalistic applications form an important part of the curriculum and can be strengthened in the optional practical year between the second and third semesters.
Given the increasing merging of editorial topics, journalists are expected to switch flexibly between various topics and departments.
At the MHMK Master School, students are taught to think interdisciplinary. Specifically with regards to project work, students benefit greatly from interaction with other subjects and courses.
