Master in Information Technology
Nowadays, development of all the branches dealing with economic and scientific activities is tightly connected with the use of information technologies, which set additional requirements to the employees. Besides the basic skills of computer literacy, the necessity to carry out complicated research and modeling of business processes, to solve tasks of systemic analysis, as well as to work out an unconventional use of information technologies in the production computer management, biotechnology, medicine, ecology and other fields, become of vital importance. To fulfill these tasks, well prepared specialists – experts of computer networks, programmers, system analysts and other professionals, who are able to adjust to rapid changes in the branch of information technologies, are needed more and more.
Faculty of Information Technologies is the newest and one of the most modern faculties of the University, which trains specialists for practical and scientific work in the field of information technologies. The Faculty prepares specialists of computer management and computer sciences, programmers and scientific researchers in the field of information technologies. Up-to-date computer rooms with the latest equipment are used for the studies. The first doctoral students here were admitted in 2006, and the first doctoral thesis in the area of information technologies was defended in 2012. Since then four more doctors of information technologies have defended their thesis. The faculty organizes annual international scientific conference "Applied Information and Communication Technologies". The participants of the conference include researchers, scientists, engineers, doctors, pedagogues and students from Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Canada, Check Republic, Romania, Poland, Kazakhstan and other countries. The faculty is determined to develop the cooperation with employers that in 2013 resulted with the establishment of the branch of a partner company providing students with practice places.

Dear applicant! - you need to take into consideration following payments:
- application fee of 155,00 EUR (single non-refundable payment)
- accommodation rental fee of 120,00 EUR per month (non-refundable) + deposit in amount of two further months rent (refundable)
- tuition fee regarding the chosen study program (refundable, if visa has been rejected).
All payments made to the University, must be approved by sending an electronic copy of the bank confirmation of payment to International Cooperation Centre.

10. Software product quality
Quality model framework, process quality. Internal, external and quality in use models.
11. Laws of IT Field
ICT branch legislation and standard system of Latvia and EU.
12. E-business Systems
Principles of electronic business and electronic government organization and design technologies.
