Faculty of Information Technologies is the newest and one of the most modern faculties of the University, which trains specialists for practical and scientific work in the field of information technologies. The Faculty prepares specialists of computer management and computer sciences, programmers and scientific researchers in the field of information technologies. Up-to-date computer rooms with the latest equipment are used for the studies. The first doctoral students here were admitted in 2006, and the first doctoral thesis in the area of information technologies was defended in 2012. Since then four more doctors of information technologies have defended their thesis. The faculty organizes annual international scientific conference "Applied Information and Communication Technologies". The participants of the conference include researchers, scientists, engineers, doctors, pedagogues and students from Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Canada, Check Republic, Romania, Poland, Kazakhstan and other countries.
