Motivation and goals
The Master Programme in Finance is designed for those seeking a solid training in various domains of Finance.
Based on the most recent and solid research in finance, this programme provides a learning experience that combines advanced financial theory with the resolution of complex cases, both of the so-called real economy and of the financial domain. In this sense, the Master in Finance also endows current and future practitioners with a key strategic advantage and leverage deemed fundamental to better understand and tackle modern economies which are dominated by globalisation, uncertainty, financial and technological innovations.
Students who complete the programme coursework (but not the dissertation/ project) – 60 ETCS – will receive a Specialisation Diploma in Finance. Those who complete the entire programme (coursework plus dissertation/ project) – 100 ECTS – are awarded with the Master Degree Diploma in Finance. The specific goals of the programme include
- Providing advanced training to future and current finance professionals in the areas of Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Investments;
- Providing generic skills, including soft skills, allowing students for a lifelong learning experience in a self-oriented and autonomous environment.
- Encouraging a first approach to research.
