The program provides students with:

  • Current and relevant technical knowledge
  • Extensive practical hands-on experience in the laboratories
  • The opportunity to participate in faculty research projects
  • The convenience of attending all classes in the evening
  • Small class sizes (12-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio) and an academically stimulating environment

Career Opportunities

The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program prepares for careers in a variety of electrical engineering fields such as control systems, signal processing, communication systems, robotics, embedded systems, semiconductor devices, digital systems, and microelectronics.

Our graduates are employed by a variety of public and private institutions including semiconductor, automotive, avionic, communication, education, manufacturing, entertainment, health, and service sectors. Career opportunities for graduates with Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering are abundant.

Admission Requirements

Admission is granted to those with a high promise for success in graduate study, as demonstrated through previous academic records and testing.

To be considered for admission, applicants must:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline. Applicants who earned a bachelor’s degree in a closely related discipline, such as physics or mathematics, may be admitted with the provision that they take the prerequisite courses listed below. The Graduate Program Director will evaluate these cases on an individual basis.
  • Have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 (A = 4.00) for their bachelor’s degrees.
