The academic expertise accentuated by these programmes guarantees you a great opportunity to become a real IT professional.
The programme educates experts who can turn biological questions into appropriate computational data analysis challenges. As a student of this programme, you get a view of current hot-topics in molecular biology and learn general principles and methods for formulating and solving computational problems. In addition to the core methodological studies in algorithms and machine learning, particularly for biological data, you are encouraged to get experience and take courses in molecular biology and related areas.
ALGORITHMS, DATA ANALYTICS AND MACHINE LEARNING
As a student of this programme, you have a chance of getting a comprehensive view of computationally efficient algorithmic techniques needed in processing large volumes of data and learning from the data. The topics include machine learning, data mining, probabilistic models, information-theoretic modelling, string algorithms, and approximation algorithms. The successful completion of the programme requires solid skills in mathematics and statistics.
NETWORKING AND SERVICES
The programme educates experts on software architectures and systems for the Internet, mobile services and applications, interactive systems, mobile security and privacy, and on global service ecosystems. As a student of this programme, you learn to design, assess and develop complex systems. The topics of study include algorithms and protocols; communication, service and information networking architectures; trust, security and privacy; mobile networking; as well as collaborative and interoperable computing.
