The Master's Programme in Communications and Systems Engineering is organised by the Department of Computer Science. Companies such as Nokia, ABB, and Wärtsilä Corporation operate internationally and give the country an outstanding reputation.Students applying for admission to the programme should have completed their undergraduate studies in an appropriate field such as telecommunications, computer science, automation, electrical engineering, or similar. The programme is an intensive two-year programme leading to a Master of Science in Technology degree. Master's degree students at the University of Vaasa have no tuition fees. They are only required to pay the Student Union membership fee of approximately 142 euro per academic year.
There are no entrance examinations for international Master's programmes at the University of Vaasa. Admission decisions are made on the basis of the required documents, evaluating each complete application individually and selecting those with the best qualifications. The intake of the Master's Programme in Communications and Systems Engineering is 25 students. The application period for the international Master's programmes is January - February annually.
