Master's Degree Programme in Business Management and Entrepreneurship
The Degree Programme in Business Management and Entrepreneurship is intended for persons who wish to develop their international competences and know-how in international business.
The studies focus on the internationalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises, develops the students' understanding and knowledge of global business environments, strategic management and innovation as well as customer relationship management in international markets. The degree programme provides students with a Master's degree (Master of Business Administration).
Study part-time while building your career!
The studies are part-time studies and can be completed alongside a normal day job. The contact lessons take place on weekends (Friday evenings and Saturdays) approximately twice a month in Hämeenlinna at the Visamäki campus. E-learning methods are used efficiently, and it is also possible to complete courses virtually.
Degree programme structure (90 credits)
The curriculum in Degree Programme in Business
Management and Entrepreneurship consists of:
- 88 Advanced professional studies, 55 cr
- 88 Optional studies, 5 cr
- 88 Master’s thesis, 30 cr
Advanced professional studies, 55 credits
These studies are compulsory for all students in the degree
programme. They comprise of four modules with total of
11 study courses. Each course is 5 credits.
Optional studies, 5 credits
Student can choose from the two courses below or complete
5 credits in other degree programmes or other universities.
Optional studies must be at Master’s level.
Master’s thesis, 30 credits
The Master’s thesis covers one third (30 cr) of the studies.
It is a development project based on Master’s degree studies,
previous scientific information and student’s own work
experience. Both research and development work is included
in the thesis project.

• Studies will be conducted in English
• Contact studies take place in Hämeenlinna, in Souther Finland at the Visamäki Campus approximately every other weekend (Friday
evening – Saturday)
